MALVERN LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSING

Work on Malvern Public Library's new addition continues to progress. Bev Dashner is a library trustee and member of the "Friends of the Library." Dashner told KMA News that the library is very excited about the project.

The addition will mean a very large increase in available space, as well as allow more services and provide better accessibility. Dashner hopes the the move into facility will take place in August. When finished, Dashner says the project's price tag is expected to range between 900-thousand to a million dollars.

WORK ON NEW TABOR FIRE STATION CONTINUES

Tabor's fire and rescue units have the same home for the first time ever. Pat Weldon is the Tabor City Clerk, and tells KMA's Dale Sandquist that work on the new building continues. Weldon says work on the building's driveways and approaches has yet to be finished, and that projects get done as more money is raised. Fundraising efforts include an event coming up May 7th--a breakfast at the fire station from 7 a-m to 1 p-m.
